Each of our consultants have many years expirience in the travel industry and have visited far too many destinations to list. Between both branches in Bramley and Merrow most countries of the world can be covered.
Meet the Staff
Linda West
Linda has been manager of our Bramley office since 1996 and (according to her) has worked in travel forever. She began her career working for small independent companies and then moved to a branch of Bath Travel before taking a break to look after her children. When she returned after a number of years she worked for a multiple chain of travel agents. This did not suit her, as she believes clients should have a full choice of products and not be subject to directional selling. Linda loves working for an independent travel company and she and her colleagues enjoy building a rapport with their clients, many of whom return year after year with great tales of their travels.
Pam Jackman
Pam originally worked in our accounts department and still overseas this in her capacity as accounts manager. However, we weren't able to keep her there and she strayed to our front office to be more involved in retail sales. There she is invaluable and is able to talk with confidence about many destinations. (Because she has been there!) In fact she has been to so many places we have lost count and she is constantly looking for new challenges, especially activity holidays.
Jo Wishart
Jo has a bubbly personality and loves helping our clients to find the holidays of their dreams. Prior to having children she managed a branch of Thomas Cook and was UK Reservations Manager for Royal Caribbean Cruises. There is an expression "if you want a job done, ask a busy person" with this in mind Jo is the person you should choose. Her time management skills are excellent and she approaches our clients' requests with great enthusiasm giving her best whether for a simple flight or a complicated tailor-made itinerary.
Jill Haggart
Jill originally worked with Geoff Lown at Hogg Robinson Travel before he formed his own company. She now works mainly in the accounts department keeping us all in order but she has an excellent all round knowledge of the travel industry and is a great leveller treating everyone equally with her own unique style. She is practical and logical in her approach to things and can delve into the accounts or solve your travel problems with great efficiency.
Lindy McCall
Lindy also worked with Geoff before he opened Lown Travel and has worked with us since early years. She specialises in business travel but her long experience and skill also equip her well to handle leisure travel requests. Her extensive knowledge of worldwide flights and fares give us the edge when constructing specialist itineraries. Lindy shoes a keen interest in her clients and leaves no stone unturned to find the best option to suit their requirements.
